Armado Cauliflower

Description:
A reliable and robust winter variety producing exceptionally large, pure white heads which mature during March and April. Has good winter survival and produces quite leafy plants which protect the heads well until just before maturity. The beautiful deep, round, white heads are excellent as a hot vegetable and delicious raw.

Sowing Instructions:

Sow indoors during mid to late spring 1.5mm (1/16in) deep in a good compost. Germination usually takes 4-10 days at 21-24C (70-75F). Alternatively, an outdoor sowing can be made in mid spring (Mid April to May) in drills 1cm (½in) deep, spaced 30cm (12in) apart and the seedlings transplanted to their final quarters when they have 5-6 leaves.

Growing Instructions:

Transplant when large enough to handle into boxes and grow on in cooler conditions. Harden off and plant out 60x60cm (24x24in) apart in a rich, well cultivated, moisture retentive soil. Always transplant firmly and water the plants well in during dry weather.
