'Shirley' Tomato

Tomato Shirley picture

Shirley has long been one of the most reliable and trusted tomato plants for growing in heated and unheated greenhouses. It produces beautiful looking tomatoes relatively early on in the season.

The tomatoes area good round shape with tomato red skins. The fruit i medium-sized, sweet and juicy.

Message: We are growing Shirley tomatoes in polytunnel for first time. The planrs look great, about 1 metre tall strong and sturdy with some flowers. Will they grow taller and do I need to stake them

Message: I grew on Sirley tomato plants in greenhouse (picked up from garden centre) but the tomatoes produced were like beef toms and had little seed content. Can you advise what went wrong?
