PLANTS
| All the plants in the outdoor area were very healthy
and well-cared for. The entrance to the garden centre proclaims a
three year guarantee on all hardy plants, good news. The area is
well laid out with good clear signs to all the major plant groups.
Within each plant group the plants are in alphabetic order making it
easy to find specific plants. |
 |
 |
The range of plants is good and you are likely to find the plants
you want at this garden centre. At the same time they also had a
wide range of large potted plants (click the left hand picture to
enlarge it). The garden centre also specialises in large structural
plants with a particularly large range of excellent bamboo. These
large plants are expensive, as would be expected for such large
specimens. But there are few (if any) nearby garden centres which stock
this range of structural plants, well done Fosseway. |
 |
Do click on the left picture to get a better view of the
interesting topiary plants at Fosseway. They also have an
excellent display of
Haddonstone stoneware with access to the full range via
catalogues. |
 |
| As well as healthy plants, the outside area had wide paths
free from clutter. All the areas clean and tidy.
There was a small portion of the outside plants area which
was covered (see picture on the right). There was no dedicated
help centre but there was lots of helpful staff on hand who were
more than willing to help with any questions. |
 |
|
The Fosseway Garden Centre has a dedicated shop for garden
machinery. Both large and small machinery was stocked along with
a wide range of spares and accessories. If any spare is not in
stock, they are more than willing to order it for you. |
