Situated just outside Malaga, Jardin del Ingenio is a thoroughly modern and attractively laid out garden centre. As well as plants it supplies a full range of garden accessories. Well worth a visit if you are in the Malaga area of Spain.

JARDIN DEL INGENIO GARDEN CENTRE - THE PLANTS AREA

The outdoor plants area is very attractively laid out with maximum use being made of the large sales area. At the time of our visit it was 41°C so the covered areas (see left picture) were appreciated!

A large range of plants and shrubs was on offer, very similar to a UK garden centre. Jardin del Ingenio specialise in an excellent range of trees, both fruit and ornamental. Sun loving plants such as bougainvillea also featured highly.

Flower of a bouganvillea

This is a large garden centre, even by UK standards and we noted that the various outdoor areas were well-signed.

The paths were wide and in general the surfaces were flat allowing for wheelchair access. Lots of island type displays provided an interesting area for wandering around.

At the far end of the outdoor area there were several display gardens to provide ideas and inspiration. They were very well maintained and we would recommend viewing them.

JARDIN DEL INGENIO GARDEN CENTRE - INDOOR SALES AREAS

The indoor areas stock a reasonable range of gardening accessories and feeds, you'll find most of what you need for the garden here.

The interior sales area stock a good range of garden accessories. Feeds, pots, compost and tools are all there. Barbecues and garden furniture are also featured well. The whole area has a delightful and spacious feel to it.

The paths in the interior area were wide and flat and there was plenty of shade from the sun.

This Malaga garden centre stocks a good range of indoor and conservatory plants as evidenced by the picture of orchids on the left.

TOILETS
Ladies and gents were clean and functional.

CAR PARKING

The car park was very large and on a flat surface. Whilst in the garden centre, the covered car park will keep your vehicle cool.
