Notcutts Garden Centre, Woodford Park

Woodford Park is the best Notcutts garden centre we have visited to date. It hits all the right buttons with a good offering of healthy plants, large indoor sales area and excellent food in pleasant surroundings.

PLANTS AREA

Not only are the plants of high quality at Woodford Garden Centre but the entire outside space is well designed and very pleasant to wander round. Curved paths, and some attractive, key large plants all contribute to the feeling that this is a good garden centre for plants. The paths are wide and spacious giving easy disabled access. All hardy plants come with an advertised five year guarantee.

INDOOR SALES AREA

We were impressed by the atmosphere in the indoor sales area. Unlike many Notcutts garden centres, the metal ceiling beams had been covered over giving the area a pleasant feel to it.

Lots of gifts, cards, indoor and outdoor furniture as well as all the gardening accessories you might need.

CAFE and RESTAURANT

Woodford Park has a restaurant and a cafe. The restaurant is up market with main meals costing between �10 to �12. There were lighter options on the menu as well such as salads at �7 to �8.
The quality of food at the restaurant was very good, and fully justifies the higher prices.
The atmosphere inside was very pleasant with an overall woodhouse theme. We fully recommend this restaurant.

The cafe is no disappointment either. It serves lighter meals such as sandwiches, baked potatoes, sandwiches and other snacks. The decor is pleasant with wrought iron type chairs and tiled tables. Fully in keeping with its name of Med Cafe. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas with the outdoor area being attractively set next to a small lake. The staff were courteous and polite and clearly working very hard.

PET CENTRE
There is a good Pet centre at Woodford Park. Live small animals pus lots of animal feeds and accessories.

AQUATICS
If there was an aquatics centre, then we missed it

GARDEN SHEDS / GREENHOUSES
An excellent range of sheds and greenhouses. The owners of this display area are to be congratulated not only on the variety of sheds on offer but also on the interesting display area.

WATER FEATURES
A small range of water features is available.

HOUSE PLANTS
There was an large display of house plants imaginatively laid out.

SPECIALITIES
The Farmhouse Restaurant is probably the best feature at this garden centre

TOILETS
Clean, modern and functional.

CAR PARKING
Lots of good car parking is available near the entrance.

DISABLED ACCESS
Disabled access is good all round with free wheelchairs available at the entrance to the garden centre.

Monday - Friday 9am to 5.30pm
Saturday 9am to 6pm
Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm

SUMMARY
A very good, large garden centre with lots of excellent plants for sale. The food at the restaurant and cafe is good quality and served in very pleasant and well-designed surroundings.
