Russell's Garden centre are really a medium sized garden centre. They
provide an excellent range of plants and small trees in an attractive
location. Combine this, all on the one site, with specialist nursery
Avondale, a huge range of quality stone from Stonemarket and Dave's
carpentry and this garden centre is a winner. To make a visit more
enjoyable, there is the display garden by Avondale and the stunning
gardens provided by Russell's.
It's not all praise though. The disabled facilities are
non-existent, the cafe is closed for a refurbishment, and on a personal
note, the lack of signs in the large plant sales area makes finding
specific plants difficult. Aside from the last point though, all these
will be corrected by the refurbishment scheduled for completion in 2008.
