Trowell Garden Centre is a family run business dating back over 30
years. Over that time it has expanded significantly and they plan a complete
refurbishment over the next couple of years. This is a medium to large sized garden

The outside plants area, which is partially covered, is of a basic
layout but they have avoided the regimented look of many other large garden centres.
All the plants were healthy and attractively laid out. The range of plants and shrubs is
extensive and you will find lots of choice at this garden centre.
INDOOR SALES AREA
The indoor sales area stocks a good range of standard gardening goods and
accessories at value for money prices.
The range of house plants (see picture) is particularly good and the prices are
cheaper than normal with no loss of quality. Lots of gifts, cards, barbecues, garden
furniture is also available at competitive prices.
The cafe at the Trowell Garden Centre is misleading. If you look at the
individual elements, it appears in need of a refurbishment (one is due in the next year)
but taken as a whole, it is a pleasant area for a coffee, tea, snack or main meal. It is
set in a corner of the garden centre, pleasantly laid out with a homely feel to it. The
general atmosphere is good. It majors on value for money with tea at 99p, a large coffee
at 1.30 and a competitively priced breakfast menu.
The main meal specials range in price from 4 to 7.They are attractively
presented and well cooked. There was no outside seating area at the time of our visit. We
liked this cafe and the meals they served.
None although they do stock some pet feeds.
Maidenhead Aquatics are on site and their fish and accessories are, as normal, top quality
and good value.
GARDEN SHEDS / GREENHOUSES
None seen by us and none is shown on Trowell's website.
There was a good selection of working water features and they were well displayed.
Ladies, gents and disabled. They were clean, functional and modern-looking.
Ample car-parking immediately outside the main entrance.
