This garden centre specialises in plants but it also offers most other accessories
which your average gardener might need. The business has been running for 30 years.

PLANTS AREA
| The outside plants area is partially covered. It is pleasantly laid out
with lots of features to break up the layout. The area stocks a large number of plants,
more than its size would lead you to believe.
The quality of the plants is excellent, all were watered, weed free and looked
healthy. No hardy plant guarantee was advertised. |

The paths were reasonably wide. Prices were about average for this area of the
UK. You are likely to find all the normal plants at the West Somerset Garden centre plus a few which you might
not expect
INDOOR SALES AREA

This garden centre is all about plants so it is nit surprising that the indoor
sales area is restricted to gardening accessories. The area feels like a "real"
garden cente or nursery.
You will find most of your gardening needs here from spades and forks to plant
feeds. We were particularly impressed with the extensive range of healthy house
plants. |

CAFE
| We had a snack at this small cafe were impressed. It is basic but the
atmosphere is very pleasant and it is well laid out. There is seating indoors and
outside for sunny days. Main meal specials (roasts or fish and chips) are served on
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. These range from £5.50 (fish) to £8.50 (roast). There
was a good range of well-priced sandwiches, toasties, salads and paninis. |

The menu also included all day breakfasts at £4 to £5 which are available
every day up to 2pm. Coffee, at an impressive £1.20, teas and cakes were also good quality
and reasonably priced.

There was a small selection just outside the front entrance.

Our sat nav got us to the garden centre based on the town and road name.
DISABLED ACCESS
Wheelchair access was reasonable both inside and out. The outdoor area was partially
covered in reasonably solid gravel. Wheelchairs are available at the front door for no cost.
OPENING HOURS
Monday to Saturday 8am to 5pm
Sunday 10am to 4pm
SUMMARY
A medium-sized garden centre which grows a significant number of its own plants. They
concentrate on plants but stock a good range of garden feeds and accessories. The cafe is
basic but very pleasant serving good home-cooked food. We recommend it as a traditional
garden centre.
