We have very data about this species of oak tree because it is rare in Europe and North America. The photos are taken from a young specimen which we found at Batsford Arboretum.

Brant's Oak (quercus brantii)

Brant's Oak is easily distinguished from other oak tree due to the spiny shape of the lightly lobed leaves.

The immature leaves are lighter green.
