The premier gardening information source

The cafe at Notcutts in Bagshot is a basic design. Plastic tables and chairs arranged in rows. The
decor of the cafe is poor showing that very little thought has been put into it. The roof is an
uninspiring grubby looking opaque plastic with metal girders supporting it. It compares very poorly
with the competition.

				 The food is
reasonably priced but the quality and presentation is uninspiring. The staff do the
best job they can given the poor materials and surrounding they have been provided
with. We wouldn't recommend this cafe, try out the two pubs opposite if you want
				reasonable food. HOUSE PLANTS

There is a good display of house plants at Notcutts in Bagshot. The range is good
and the plants all look healthy and well-cared for. The display itself is well
designed and attractive providing lots of colour. INDOOR SALES AREA
The indoor sales area is relatively large and contains a full
selection of gifts, cards, garden accessories and similar items. It even contains a
clothes shop. Our only concern is that the items are not grouped in
an attractive manner. Wandering through the indoor sales area you are left with the
impression of a street market bazaar in some areas. Some may well like this but we
				were not impressed. OTHER FACILITIES

The Pet Centre is well stocked and also has a better than normal
range of live small pets. DISABLED FACILITIES Wheelchair access around the indoor sales area is mostly good but some areas
are inaccessible. TOILETS CAR PARKING The address is: Our sat nav directed us there exactly. We used the above post code and chose
the option "London Road, Jenkins Hill". Notcutts are on the left if you are heading up the
hill. A map can be found
HERE SUMMARY The cafe serves only average food in very uninspiring surroundings. Try the
pubs opposite the garden centre for better food. COMMENTS

Wheel chair access is normally OK around many areas. However, a significant part of the
outdoor area is on gravelled rather than a solid surface. There is also the problem of
fallen plants blocking some paths entirely and random displays blocking parts of some other
		plants.
The toilets are basic but functional.
Ample car parking is available. At peak times the further overflow car park is used and
the surface of this is not flat.DIRECTIONS AND CONTACT FOR

Not one of our favourite garden centres, although it is a large one which should supply
most of your needs. Watch the quality and prices of the plants before buying. The aquatics
and pet centres are well worth a visit with a large range of stock.
