Cafe at Riverside Garden Centre

HOUSE PLANTS

There was a good range of houseplants available in the covered area and all the plants looked in exceptionally good condition. There was good information displayed for the plants and the prices were average.

OTHER FEATURES

There was a smallish children's play area in view of the cafe outside seating area.

CAFE

Click the picture to see some of the items on the menu board. The food is organic, vegetarian and very tasty as well. The menu was inventive, even including Spanish tapas and Greek salad. The prices were good with all meals being under £6. There was also a good range of light lunch sandwiches, Panini's and more.

We fully recommend this cafe. It is pleasantly designed and has plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. As you can see if you enlarge the above picture, much of the food is prepared on site.

DISABLED FACILITIES
The disabled facilities were fine in most areas with large aisles and flat surfaces. Some parts of the outdoor plant were covered in gravel but the majority was paved.

TOILETS
The toilets were basic but clean and well-kept with no queues. We did not see any toddler facilities.

CAR PARKING
The car park had more than enough space and was dry and flat.

Riverside garden centre is right in the middle of Bristol and finding it was a bit difficult for a first time visitor. The directions on the Riverside web site are good but study a map carefully before visiting the first time. For sat nav users, type in number 9 Clift House Road, Bristol and that should find you almost outside the garden centre.

SUMMARY
Riverside Garden Centre is the only garden centre in the centre of Bristol. But it has more to recommend it than that. The plants are high quality and competitively priced with a good range. Plant information is excellent and the staff plentiful and very helpful. Top this off with an excellent cafe and we rate Riverside very highly.
