Stratford Garden Centre, Warwickshire

The Stratford Garden Centre has a very expensive and impressive looking entrance. We independently review the garden centre to see if it matches up to initial expectations.

PLANTS

This garden centre was medium sized and the range of plants was fine for most of your everyday needs. One plus it has over many garden centres is that about a third of the outside plant area was under cover.
At the time of our visit there no outdoor help centre and there were no staff in the outside area.

There were a couple of clever ideas at this garden centre. First, a plastic cover had been laid over the gravel base. This made it easy to navigate round the outside area especially if using a wheelchair.

All of the plant area was very clean and the healthy looking plants looked well cared for. It's a pity though that there was no published hardy plant guarantee.

The second good idea was the wooden racking used to hold taller plants to the shelves in windy conditions. This must prevent plant damage significantly.

The signs for the different groupings of plants was good, allowing us to locate specific plants easily.

If you are taking young kids to the Stratford Garden Centre then you are in luck. They have the largest play area we have seen at any garden centre. Lots of swings and climbing frames to keep them occupied.
